Why were the German people so vulnerable?
Many people studying WWII may ask, why did the German people accept the Nazi's so fast? To answer this question we must first look at where Germany was during the reformation of the Nazi party. During the year 1929 the Great depression had hit the weakened Germany. The depression would greatly effect the people of Germany, making them quick to jump to any hand that would save them. This would be the perfect opportunity for the Nazi party to take over. They had the majority of lower class, and middle class workers at their disposal, who were now unemployed and desperate. Having the majority in their possession would be a key into making their operation of taking over Germany successful.
Another factor at the time of the Nazi takeover was the political unrest that came into play with the economy suffering so badly. The Nazi party was not the only party attempting to get a say in the government and have some sort of revolution. The communists, on the far other side of extremism were also pushing for power in Germany. The two groups would be two of the most prominent parties pushing for seats in the Parliament for their takeover, and attempt to dispose of the democratic system Germany

The Nazi's vs. The Communists
It was clear, for both anti democratic parties, that they would need a majority of the seats in the Parliament to proceed with their agenda for a takeover. After various elections, the Nazi's would creep farther and farther up in their amount of seats in the Parliament while the communists were loosing seats. Eventually, the Nazi's would become such a prominent power in the Parliament that they would hold the majority of seats. This would allow for their takeover.
On January 30th 1933, President Hindenburg would finally be put under enough pressure to appoint Hitler as Chancellor of Germany that he would proceed in this action. Now the Nazi party was in a seat of power and gained a huge advantage over the communists. Hitler, their charismatic leader with great plans for Germany, would soon take office as President. However, before Hitler would take his seat in this power, a few things would happen that would allow his propaganda to be pushed through to the people in the great amount he would need following up to WWII, and throughout his whole rule.
